Sweet and Sour Glazed Salmon
Sweet and sour glazed salmon is a delicious and healthy dish that is perfect for any occasion. This dish is made by marinating fresh salmon fillets in a sweet and tangy glaze, then broiling them until the flesh is opaque and flaky. The glaze is made with a combination of apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, tamari, lemon juice, honey, and warm water.
To prepare sweet and sour glazed salmon, start by preheating your broiler to high heat. Rinse the salmon fillets and pat them dry, then place them in a broiling dish. Let the salmon come to room temperature while you mix the glaze. In a measuring cup, whisk together the apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, tamari, and lemon juice until well combined. In a separate bowl, mix the honey with warm water to create a simple syrup, then whisk it into the other liquid ingredients. Pour the marinade over the salmon fillets and let them sit for 10 minutes.
After the salmon has marinated, place the broiling dish under the broiler and cook for eight minutes, or until the flesh is opaque. The exact cooking time will depend on the thickness of the fillets, but for a 1-inch thick fillet, eight minutes is perfect. Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the broiler and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
