Think long term
Think long term
A vital element of those who achieve better and more sustainable results is stamina.
Some people call it ‘Grit,’ others call it willpower and determination.
Goal setting and achieving the goals should be considered as a marathon rather than a sprint.
Goals require dedication and the ongoing desire to succeed.
This is why I keep restating the importance of having a clear goal.
To clarify this goal, I’d love it if you could narrow down your aims by doing this quick exercise.
Challenge: Use as few words as you can to explain your what, why, and when.
What your goal is
Why do you want to achieve it
When you aim to do so.
Some simple (hypothetical) examples:
Get a promotion, save money and travel in January next year.
Lose X lbs, have more energy, take my daughter skiing next Winter.
The easier it is to recall your goal when it seems like all you want to do is give up, the easier it will be to get yourself back on track.
Please write it down somewhere and share it with someone close to you.
I hope you have enjoyed this information. Until next time!
