Do you meditate?
Meditation quiets your mind and calms your soul, allowing you to reduce your heart rate, breathe more deeply, and de-stress.
You don’t need to spend hours a day to get the benefits. Just a few minutes of mindfulness each day can make a world of difference.
To get started, find a comfortable seated position.
Take a few deep inhalations and exhalations, and merely observe what is going on around you.
You may wish to close your eyes.
Focus on the small details, how your shirt feels against your body, what the air smells like, what sounds you hear in the distance.
Another method is to light a candle and focus on the flame for a few minutes while trying to calm the thoughts in your mind.
