A Creative Way to Exercise
One thing that is always talked about in Health Sessions is Physical Activity. How do you exercise? How much exercise do you get? What is enough? Do you have time for exercise?
Can you sneak in exercise around the house? Lunges whilst you are waiting for the kettle to boil or star jumps whilst cooking the tea? Can you commit to walking ten minutes a day?
Creating family time is a great way to sneak in that exercise! You can do this by planning an after-work walk in the park, playing around in the front yard, going to a community pool, or engaging in a sport, like a game of soccer or joining a softball league.
It might feel like you are too busy to get your exercise in, but there are ways to get it in while still making time for your family. Do you have an activity that you like to engage in with your family?
Could you get in your exercise and time with the kids by planning active play like a game of tag or a walk in the park?
