Have you considered motivational mantras?
Have you considered motivational mantras?
The most important thing is that you have a clear and realistic view of what you want to achieve, no matter your goals. Nothing will happen overnight. For that reason, you must have the motivation and the ability to self-motivate for times when reaching your goals seem too much. That’s why I thought we’d introduce the idea of ‘mantras’.
A mantra does not have to be part of religious or spiritual practice (though many religions do use them during prayer). However, in its most basic form, a mantra is simply a word or phrase that is repeated to aid with concentration or recentering focus.
Buddhists and Hindus use them in prayer, many top athletes use them in training, successful entrepreneurs have used them to inspire them to start their day, and there is no reason why you can’t, too!
To do:
To help with your self-motivation, I want you to choose a mantra (it can be from anywhere!)
Please write it down
Place it somewhere visible
Please share it with your community or share it here. Here are some ideas:
Have big dreams. You’ll grow into them.
If you want to achieve greatness, stop asking for permission.
No masterpiece was ever created by a lazy artist.
The tallest oak in the forest was once just a little nut that held its ground.
One year equals 365 possibilities.
Don’t wish for it; work for it.
Great things never came from comfort zones.
Big journeys begin with small steps.
Say yes to new adventures.
The best way to get something done is to begin.
If the plan doesn’t work, change the plan—but never the goal.
As you know more, you grow more.
Trust your crazy ideas.
Don’t be afraid to be great.
Let it all go. See what stays.
Life is like photography. Always look on the bright side of things.
You don’t have to go fast. You just have to go.
My favourite: ‘If you want to achieve greatness, stop asking for permission!’
