Apple cider vinegar is linked to many health claims, and you may already have it in your pantry.

Apple cider vinegar is often touted as the super product for indigestion, leg cramps, acne, dandruff, soothing sore throats, soothing upset stomachs, and even lowering cholesterol.

Amazing, right?

So what are these health benefits of apple cider vinegar? 

If you google Apple Cider Vinegar Benefits online, you will come up with quite a list. These vary and include claims that it:

  • can improve digestion;

  • lower blood sugar levels;

  • improve insulin sensitivity;

  • increase satiety and helps people to lose weight;

  • reduce belly fat;

  • lower cholesterol;

  • lower blood pressure

  • improve heart health.

Apple cider vinegar contains magnesium, iron, phosphorus, manganese, amino acids, antioxidants, and it is only three calories per tablespoon.

You can incorporate apple cider vinegar into your diet by:

  • Using it in various recipes, including salad dressings or marinades.

  • Make an apple cider vinegar tonic by mixing apple cider vinegar with your smoothie. Just add a tablespoon, to begin with to your usual smoothie and enjoy the health benefits.

  • If you don’t mind the taste of apple cider vinegar, you can add it to a glass of water and drink it. It’s as simple as that.

My advice is to start with a tablespoon and then increase to two tablespoons if you don’t notice any side effects.

With anything, there are always potential side effects of drinking apple cider vinegar. Although it is harmless, too much of anything can cause problems, and it isn’t recommended for those with stomach ulcers or kidney problems. Always check with your Doctor before consuming regularly.

Our love for photography started on our travels. We wanted to capture images of the areas we travelled to both for our own records and for our family back at home. Our Family

Family is everything to me! We have a family of four boys where the age difference between the youngest and the eldest is 18 years. Two of our sons are also Gluten Free and Dairy Free. Emma is a Health Coach who specialises in helping individuals and families achieve their health and wellness goals.
